First off before I get overly harsh critiques this is the first anime piece I've done without any dependence on the pen tool except for lineart. Everything is coloured by painting including the hair. Things may need to be blended more, but I was experimenting a lot with this piece. That being said, I always welcome critique, I just want to keep that in mind
 I also wanted to try a style which is slightly more mature and less.. loli  Still doesn't look overly old but yeah.Alexiel is my favourite character of all time. I adore Angel Sanctuary and my online name is from a character in that manga. I should have done a piece like this earlier, but I never did. I did an odd chibi of her once which is practically blasphemous to her character, but I hope Angel Sanctuary fans enjoy it at least ^_^ Comments Never read Angel Sanctuary... But this looks pretty! I like the wings.

You did an awesome job ! Specially on the hair , she has such difficult hair x.x with the black and dark brown through it x.x . But she is beautiful ! I love the nonchelant pose very much , it's really a stance Alexiel would use hehe >w< -instant fave- .
I think you just made one of the best angel sanctuary fanarts around lol. -- Icon made by the awesome Dishrag. Beware an art collector gone crazy  It looks great! ^^ You could work on getting the coloring a bit cleaner (this will come with practice), but otherwise it looks pretty good. ^^
My recommendation would be to make the rest of the sword visible as well... I think it would make the whole thing more balanced. But this is just a matter of preference. ^^ -- You might find after a time, that having is not nearly as fine a thing as wanting. (Spock) Join the Heavenly Princesses Club: *Heavenly-Princesses , a club dedicated to the princess forms of the Sailor Senshi!  Alexial too is my favorite character! You seriously did her justice! I love the coloring and shading and the background is beautiful!
It's always great to see other AS fans out there! I hope you do more AS art soon! Kaori Yuki has some pretty cool series! -- I seem to have misplaced my sanity...may I have yours? =^.^=  this is lovely ^^ +fav
-- Im born to draw! ^^  I'd have to it's pretty well done, the only thing is there are a few anatomy issues here. The head seems slightly too big for her frame. The right eye could be moved in more because it seems to spaced out as compared to the nose. I believe this would also be a bit better if her waist was elongated because it looks too short, making her look slightly squished. As for the wings they look nice but I think you should put a bit more detail to make the them look more like feathers. Also alexiel's hair should be a bit more stringy, but that my just be a style thing because I am so use to kaori yuki's work. :3 All in all it's nice though.

I like the wings and the colour. anyway, I have a suggestion. for the hair the colours still looks kinda.. scribbly. so we can't interpret where the hair strands flow to. you could try using smudge tool to shape the hair so the hair looks smooth and flow naturally. if you use smudge tool it'd be better if you remove tha hair's lineart |

Critiques
Wow, hmm. First of all, when you paint on the shadows for wrinkles in clothes, they shouldn't be quite that dark when they're close to the light. You did a better job on the skirt than on the chest/shoulder area, but it's something to consider.
I personally love her hair, esp. for being painted on. You did a great job. The positioning of her arm is perfect, too(I know you used to have trouble with that before)
The three wings idea is interesting. Shading could be improved there (think of a lot of feathers. Like hair, but a little different.)
If the background is a night scene, prosonally I'd make it darker, especially around the corners to bring out your character more.
anyway, you did a great job teti <3 keep it up!
