Mortifera

I guess this past month is the month where I finish old drawings! I did the lineart for this in November 2010 and I didn't have the heart nor skill to finish it. The original file size being 5692x11350 px didn't help, either. I'm pretty happy with it. Completing it was entirely therapeutic for me since I've had a hell of a time finishing anything lately. I think I was getting a little burnt out, but I feel better now

It was such an usual size that I wanted to challenge myself to create something in the same format. I was also playing WoW at the time, going through the Hellfire Peninsula and loved the look of the sky with its dark moons and eerie atmosphere. I wanted to create a world where the viewer would feel they didn't belong, something completely foreign. Not sure I accomplished that, but it's the thought that counts xD
